I'm aware it's dangling slightly, by a thread.

But, at least I try.

To be a loving friend,

to reach you in your need.

Even if it's not perceived to be recieved.

Am I talking in some ancient foreign language?

Or are you just as empty as the air?

We cling to the promises we break,

and push through the fires we create,

skipping rocks across the water counting the ripples they make.

We try to erase what's in our minds

and attempt to swallow all our pride

Though talk is cheap to me, I prefer that I hear you speak.

Words to expel my faltering belief.

It is clearly just this weak communication

blanketing the resolve in my soul.
